I’ve had the joy of finishing teaching another cohort on my “Healthy Singing for Teachers” course at Royal Ballet and Opera.

I helped design this course to be able to help classroom teachers with their heavy vocal load.

The idea is that if we learn a little about anatomy and how our voices work, and then apply that knowledge using some simple singing exercises, then we can improve our vocal health and stamina very quickly… and improve our mental health as a result.

The course also covers understanding how their young people’s voices develop, how to teach a song to their choirs, and understanding the impact of performance anxiety, as well as how to minimise it.

I’m so proud of this course, and I feel so privileged to get to know these teachers and help them find their confidence in their musicianship, their voices, and their power.
