I’ve just returned from a great night with the Halle Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall. In their “Last Night of the Halle Proms” concert I sang songs by Rimsky-Korsakov, Gounod, Gershwin and Bernstein, and had a blast leading the singing of “Jerusalem” and “Rule Britannia”.
This review was out in today’s Oldham Evening Chronicle: “I was particularly enamored by soprano Pamela Hay’s idiosyncratic rendition of Leonard Bernstein’s “Glitter and Be Gay” from Candide. For me, this stole the show, it was simply exceptional.”
