Nedda in Pagliacci

Monday 30th May is the last chance to see me play Nedda in Opera Up Close’s production of Pagliacci. The Spectator said about the production “Tremendous, as intense and compelling as any account of this piece I have seen,” and The Independent called it “the company’s best production to date.” Please visit the Gigs Calendar for times and directions.Pamela is Nedda in Pagliacci

Friday Night is Music Night – this Friday!

BBC Radio 2 have moved forward the broadcast date of my recent concert on their “Friday Night is Music Night” programme. It’ll be broadcast this Friday 13th May at 8 PM GMT on BBC Radio 2. Please tune in to your radios, or listen live online anywhere in the world by visiting the FNIMN website and clicking “listen” in the top right corner.

BBC Radio 2’s “Friday Night is Music Night” invited me to appear again as soloist, after appearing with them in November 2010. We recorded on Friday 25th February at London’s Mermaid Theatre to a full house, with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Roderick Dunk.  I sang a programme including Rusalka’s “Song to the Moon” and Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me”.

I’ve been invited to appear as guest soloist on BBC Radio 2′s “Friday Night is Music Night”, the world’s longest-running live music radio show, featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra under Stephen Bell.  I’ll be singing opera and operetta favourites, alongside Julian Lloyd-Webber, to be broadcast November 2010.

Master Class

I’m currently playing Sharon Graham in the touring production of Master Class with Stephanie Beacham as Maria Callas. If you’re in London, why not catch the production at the Richmond Theatre.

Mimi in La Boheme

I’ll be reprising my role as Mimi in Opera Up Close’s famous production of La Boheme this afternoon at the Cock Tavern Theatre, Kilburn.  The world’s longest continually-running production of an opera, Opera Up Close’s production at the Cock Tavern was so popular that its run was extended month after month due to popular demand. The production transferred to London West End’s Soho Theatre for a 6 week run this summer, and now by popular demand again it is returning for another 6 weeks.
