We’re in The Stage! I gave a workshop at the Royal Opera House with an extended vocal workout and taught some of Carmen, alongside the marvellous Louise Bakker delivering drama work, to teachers from the ROH’s partner, The Eliot Foundation Academies Trust.

It was a gloriously fun session, and the teachers sang with such full, resonant voices. Couldn’t be prouder to be a part of it, and can’t wait to work with them on The Magic Flute next year!

“At the start of our partnership, this event was a wonderful opportunity for our teachers to come together from across the country and be inspired by working with the talented team at the Royal Opera House. The team showed how to make music and drama accessible, engaging us in easy exercises, warm-ups, and fun.

“Then, before we knew it, we were singing opera together, and it was amazing. Our teachers came away energised and full of confidence. I cannot wait for the programme to begin and to see our children singing, performing and having fun.”
