Honoured to conduct in the Royal Opera House’s inaugural Create Day. Create Day brought together thousands of children from all over the U.K., to devise and perform a piece responding to the theme of the UN Convention’s Rights of the Child, simultaneously around the country.
I led the singing in the stunning setting of Coventry Cathedral, conducting 300 children in our song, “The Hope” by Ayanna Witter-Johnson.
Our initiative was mentioned in Parliament that day, as an example of exemplary music education that takes place in the U.K. today.
